Chio Fernández

Chio’s approach to photography is spontaneous and natural. She is fascinated by stories and believes that behind any subject there is a story waiting to be told. She uses her passion for photography and photojournalistic style to capture them. Her travel photography focuses on the stories from the past, the present and the future of the places she visits. Food, culture, people and design are between the things that Chio looks for when telling the story of a place. She tries not to influence or arrange what happens in front of the camera and prefers to capture simple and truthful moments.

Chio was born and raised in a town in the province of Málaga, Spain. She had a passion for arts since a very early age, but in her early twenties, while at University studying Civil Engineering, she discovered her interest in photography. A couple of years later she moved to London to study Photography and Film at The University of Roehampton and pursue her career as a photographer.
