January '17: Chio gets honest.

It seems like I'm rather bad at keeping my blog updated. I try, but then, life happens... And that's because it is quite difficult to keep a blog updated when you are the only person working in your business. There are many other things that come before writing a blog post in my 'to do' list every day. And, alright, it doesn't take that long to write a post, I could find a little time, but I'll be honest, when I have a little time, I like to just have a tea, read and relax.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who struggles, not only with blogging, but social media. I attended a talk a couple of years ago where a photography agent mentioned “if you can't keep your profiles in social media or blog updated, is better to not have one at all”. He had a valid point, he explained that potential clients might see the lack of content related to a non active professional. I did agree on that day, and since I have stressed over being active online SO MUCH! Now, I have come to accept that I will never be that kind of person, who writes blogs in advance and schedules my posts in social media to be published in a convenient time. I can't post a photo a day in Instagram, I could, but I'll probably end up boring everyone with the same thing that a thousand others are already posting. Plus, it was taking over my personal life. I can't tell you how many times I've been out with friends and felt the need to pull my phone out of my handbag to post something, using the poor excuse “it's work, guys, sorry”.

So, that said, I still like to, every now and then, drop by and share what I've been up to. In this case, it has been a long time since my last post, and a lot of things have happened. I've been to France, Sweden, Spain, Germany and Iceland (and you wonder why I don't have time to write a blog?). I now have two cats, Aurelia and Benito. And I also have a new website!

Now I understand, lack of content online is only a sign of a very active professional in real life.

And to end this post, let me share some of the visuals that I have created while I wasn't posting blogs.

PS: New 'Prints' section coming soon! In the meantime don't forget to check my new website out!
